The difficulty to predict the forming of fog patches does not permit the highway operators to definitely warn the user. To make up for this lack of safety, the knowledge in real time of the distance of visibility in the dangerous zones is essential. The FOGGYMETRE, measuring opacity through back diffusion, was designed to answer specifically to that need. |
