Nous pourrions apporter notre contribution a  un projet de recherche dans le
domaine des systemes distribues (domaine 1) qui aurait besoin d'une
plateforme applicative et/ou d'un utilisateur final. Voici la description de
la plateforme applicative et du besoin en terme de logiciel distribue.

Applicative domain : environment monitoring.

Description of the platform:
It has been designed at TSI (Thomson -CSF Services Industrie) an intelligent
device with acquisition, storage, computing, control and transmission
capacities.  This device is rugged to comply with hard enviromental
constraints. It has an open architecture which is based on present market
standards and technology : PC computer, fieldbus network for sensors
communication, wireless communication between many such devices.

Distributed systems.
For environmental monitoring, there are many applications which can be
solved using a network of such devices properly configurated to comply to
the specific needs of the particular application.
Application domains include clean water management, waste water plants, soil
monitoring, air monitoring
The configuration will consist to connect to each device in the network the
apropriate sensors or actuators and to install a distributed software to
manage the acquisitions, storage, computing and control all over the
network.

Search for partnership
We would like to collaborate within a european project with companies or
universities interested in the use of this multi computer platform for
developping general purpose distributed software.
The need is to have a tool which would allow to configurate the distributed
application independantly of the actual physical device network.
