Deadline : 30/11/99Reference number : OCV 971020/1 BENP |
ABSTRACT |
A company having industrially developed a process to make ethanol (which can be in turn transformed into ETBE, a fuel additive) out of wheat or beet molasses wishes to licence the process. The company wishes to develop the industry of ethanol manufacture from cereals to create an European movement for such uses. |
TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Opportunity type : |
Current stage of development :Already on the market |
Property rights : Patented |
|
Innovative aspects : Classical technologies are rather based on the use of purified starch hydrolysates, steaming from the starch industry |
TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS
Concerned sectors :Chemical Industry
|
Market applications : Chemical industry Industrial manufacturing Environment protection and waste treatment |
Main competitive advantages : The technology is a simple one, with a good, protein - rich by-product. This technology for production of ethanol as a biofuel can be used with several substrates (wheat, barley and molasses) in a single plant. Good Technology mastering, including analytical matters, by-products outlets is also well known. The technology allows the industrialist to master the process from the agricultural raw material to the final product. |
