COMMUNIQUE: National preparations

Dear Colleague,

The civil society division of the Executive Secretariat of the World Summit
 on the Information Society (WSIS) recently decided to gather information
 regarding the national initiatives that are developing around the Summit
 in each country.  In order to fully inform you on the evolution of these
 national preparations, we have created a database on the civil society
 website at the following address :
 http://www.geneva2003.org/wsis/index_c01_2_07.htm

We have up till now assimilated information only for a few countries
 (Germany, Canada, France).  We hope, however, to rapidly complete our
 database and for this we would like to solicit your assistance in
 identifying in your country, a certain number of actors whose 
 activities are related to the Summit such as the national tripartite
 commissions (Government, Private Sector, Civil Society), if they exist,
 as well as Civil Society entities that are involved in the Summit
 process in your country.

We encourage you to visit our database to see how it is set up and
 also to fill it out by sending your information to the following
 address: wsis.csd@ties.itu.int

COMMUNIQUE : Préparations nationales

Cher Collègue,

La Division société civile du Secrétariat exécutif du Sommet Mondial sur
 la Société de l'Information (SMSI) a récemment entrepris de récolter
 des informations concernant les initiatives nationales qui se développent
 autour du Sommet dans chaque pays. Afin de vous informer pleinement sur 
 l'évolution de ces préparations nationales nous avons créé une base de
 données sur le site de la société civile à l'adresse suivante :
 http://www.geneva2003.org/wsis/index_c01_2_07.htm 

Pour le moment nous avons réuni des informations seulement pour un petit
 nombre de pays (Allemagne, Canada, France). Nous espérons néanmoins 
 compléter rapidement notre base de données et pour cela nous aimerions
 solliciter votre aide pour identifier dans votre pays un certain nombre
 d'acteurs en rapport avec le Sommet tels que les commissions nationales
 tripartites (Gouvernement, Secteur privé, Société civile), si elles
 existent, ainsi que les entités de la société civile impliquées dans
 le processus du Sommet dans votre pays.

Nous vous encourageons à visiter notre base de données afin de voir
 comment celle-ci est constituée et éventuellement à la compléter en
 nous envoyant vos informations à ladresse suivante :
