On behalf of the American Music Conference and other partner organizations, we thought you'd like to know about something your school can do to help bring music into the lives of kids across the country. The second annual "Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America" survey is now underway, via an easy online form. The 2001 survey follows in the footsteps of last year's successful inaugural effort. Click here to take the survey: http://www.surveysolutions.com/prs/me2001.htm. For more information about the survey, visit the AMC site: http://www.amc-music.org. Using a variety of economic, demographic and program data gathered from participants like you, the survey will identify the best communities in America for music education, and will also support ongoing efforts to make sure every student gets the best possible music opportunities. School districts that place highly in the survey will receive national media attention for their achievements. We hope the appropriate officials in your district, who may have the most authoritative answers to some of the questions, will complete the survey on behalf of people throughout your community. In May, we invite you to check http://www.amc-music.org to see the survey results. If you would like to be alerted when the results are posted, enter your email address on the AMC home page. Thank you for your participation!
