Draft Project Outline

Call on Digital Sites, 17.12.1996


The region is situated in the north of Lower-Austria and is a 5b-target area.

There is a good Infrastructur, managed by an own telekom-company of the region.
The project idea is to build an information system for the local
authorities, providing information of buildings, pipelines, etc. The data
will be managed at two teleworking centers. Access will be possible for
every citizens via Internet. Internet access is provided by the own regional
Telekom-Company to very low rates.
Another application is planned for the industrie and SMEs of the region. A
digital shopfloor will be build for offering products and services.
Other regions are searched for a proposal in the Digital Sites Call, with
the main topic on Telematics for Administrations and TURA.
