Cordialement, ************************************************** Subject: International WorkShop on Quality of Service in Digital Television ***************************************************** IMPORTANT : LAST CALL FOR REGISTRATION ***************************************************** Dear Colleague, The French Research Center in Broadcasting and Radiocommunication (TDF-C2R) and the partners of the ACTS Quovadis project (AC056), will organise the 6th and 7th of October 1998 in Metz (France), the first international WorkShop on Quality of Service in Digital Television. Program providers, network operators and manufacturers are now strongly involved in definition and development of digital television networks, either on satellite, cable or terrestrial broadcasting. This WorkShop will be a unique opportunity to discover the very last results and development in the field of metrology, management and maintenance of such networks. Many presentations in English will detailed theme such as Quality of Service, audio-video analysis, subjective/objective correlation, test and measurement equipment, networks and services management. Moreover, the main T&M equipment manufacturers will present their more recent models in the field of DVB metrology (Rohde and Schwartz, Thomcast, Tektronix, Promax, Bull, TDF, CCETT, Sagem, ...). Finally, these two days will be the opportunity to visit the C2R experimental platform, and to get used with the architecture of digital television networks on satellite, cable or terrestrial path.
